Overview
Developed for use by clearance divers involved in covert operations, the Naval Divers Life Preserver comprises an unobtrusive inflatable stole, with snag-free contours and a fully adjustable webbing waist belt. The stole is manufactured from durable butyl-proofed nylon fabric and assembled by means of adhesive, which has immense resistance to abrasion, tearing, and puncture. When fully inflated, the vest provides around 120 newtons of buoyancy. A hinged fabric flap held closed by a press fastener, can be opened to reveal two large panels of reflective tape designed to aid location in the dark with a standardly fitted efficient gas relief valve for deflation.
